Fall 2021 Leagues
NOCRA will be assigning many affiliated leagues this fall. Our goal is to assign, educate and advance our members, helping you achieve your goals.
The purpose of this agreement is to set the expectations and to be fair all the members.
Primarily we use Self Assign (http://www.nocra.com/arbiter-self-assign.html) and with this privilege comes a responsibility to the membership, your assignors and NOCRA.
Some of you are experienced referees and happy doing the local games we have available.
Some of you are new and it is your responsibility to ask for mentoring and observations from experienced referees, this is how you will advance and obtain higher level assignments. There are 3 things we look for: 1) fitness and ability to keep up with play; 2) Game Management; and 3) Accountability, if you decline and turnback games your rating will go down since it can be a challenge to replace a referee at the u16 and higher levels, especially on a Thurs or Fri.
Some of you may only be interested in AR, that is fine, Connor will be assigning most of our REC games. There will also be U12 Club games that you can center with a mentor guiding you along the way.
It is no secret that we are short referees, we have to be smart, hydrating and rest, exercise and injury management is vital to us all. Limit your sets to 3 or 4, you can take a break between sets, moving to another venue.
