​It is YOUR responsibility to know all of the rules of any playing circuit that you officiate.


REPORTING

  1. Report the final scores at the SoCal Reds desk on the game schedule. You have to know the coaches last names to report the score.
  2. Any misconduct must be reported on game day.
SoCal Reds has also requested feedback on any irresponsible behavior on behalf of their coaches or spectators.

  • All games will be paid by Arbiter Pay. DO NOT ask the teams for any game fees.
Game Length & Rules Summary

Deliberate heading is not permitted in all 4v4, 6v6, 7v7, and 9v9 games.
Free-Kicks at 7U, 8U, 9U, and 10U are indirect. Opponents must be 8 yards away from the ball.
SUBSTITUTIONS
  • ​Can occur at any stoppage.

4-Goal Rule
  • ​Should one team be winning by a 4 or more goal margin, the opponents can add in an additional player onto the field until such time as that deficit is reduced to 3 goals.​ ​

BUILD OUT LINE

​Note: Build out line will be used for all games in U8 and U10. A Summary is listed below:

1. The opposing team may cross the build out line once the ball is in play. 
    a.  The ball is in play once the goalkeeper has released the ball and the ball is touched by one of their teammates. 

GAME CARDS & ​MISCONDUCT

  1. Completed Game Cards are to be turned in at the referee tent. 
  2. In the case of misconduct, take a picture of the completed game cards (both sides) to help you fill out the information to the best of your abilities. 
  3. A NOCRA misconduct report must be filled out when (along with the information being on the game card):
    1. An injury occurs that results in a player being removed from the game and cannot return due to the injury. 
    2. A dismissal of a player, coach, or spectator occurs.

Go to the Misconduct Page for specific information. All misconduct reports must be filled out within 24 hours of the game time.

  • It is YOUR responsibility to check the OFFICIAL LEAGUE SCHEDULE (NOT Arbiter) before leaving for your games.
  • Check the Venue Page to verify game locations and times.

​Forfeits & Reimbursements

REIMBURSEMENTS WILL ONLY BE GIVEN FOR GAME DAY FORFEITS
  • Complete an Incident Report to be reimbursed.
  • If the game is not on the Official Schedule your reimbursement will be denied.​
