CHECK-IN PROCEDURE:
  • Each coach will provide a Game Card to the referee prior to kick off.
  • CLUB Competition Admin and Player Cards: USYSA, CalSouth and US Club credentials, along with international equivalent are acceptable.
  • DA Competition: Admin and Player Cards are NOT provided.

  • Referee to conduct a safety and equipment check prior to kickoff.
  • Report the Score, Misconduct (cautions or send-offs) on BOTH Game Cards.
  • Confirm the score and any misconducts with the coach and obtain each coach's initials in the small box on both cards.
  • Return CLUB admin and player CARDS to the coach after the score is confirmed.
  • Give TWO (2) completed game cards to the referee coordinator at your designated tent.

GAME DURATION AND SUBSTITUTIONS

USSDA GAMES (B12-DA, and B13-DA)
  • A substitution moment is the number of times the coach is permitted to request a substitution. The number of players allowed to be substituted in each moment is only limited by the age division as follows:
    • U12 (2007), 30 Min Halves, Unlimited substitutions with re-entry, 9v9, heading permitted.
    • U13 (2006), 35 Min Halves, Unlimited substitutions across 3 moments with re-entry.

Half time DOES NOT count as a "moment."
Injuries count as a "moment" with the exception of the Head Injury Substitution Exception:
  1. If a player, suspected of concussion, is temporarily substituted and cleared they may return to the game, replacing the same player without being charged a “moment.”
  2. If the player is not cleared to return to play, the team is charged with a substitution moment.
  3. If the team does not have a substitution moment, or already substituted the max number, the team is to play short.
